PGE Crushed Aggregate

IDOT-certified PGE crushed aggregate is a heavy-duty 8" minus base material built for roads, foundations, construction entrances, and high-load applications. When strength and stability start at the ground level, PGE delivers.

PGE Crushed Aggregate (IDOT Certified #014CS01) is a coarse, wide-graded crushed stone blend commonly known as 8 Inch Minus, Road Base, or CS01 Gravel. Ranging from large angular stones down to fine particles, its broad gradation allows it to compact into an exceptionally dense, interlocked mass — making it one of the most capable base materials available for heavy-duty construction applications.

PGE's robust particle range gives it outstanding load-bearing capacity, making it the material of choice for road and driveway subbase construction, building foundations, and construction site entrances where heavy equipment traffic demands maximum ground stability. The blend of coarse and fine particles also fills voids effectively, making it an efficient backfill material and a solid base layer for patios and walkways.

IDOT-certified for quality and consistency, PGE is a proven performer on projects where a strong, reliable foundation is non-negotiable.

Common Uses: Base material for roads & driveways, patios & walkways, building foundations, construction base layer, backfill, and construction entrances.
